You will be examined on this material (II)

"What's it called?", the well-read, historically-minded radio host asks.

"Documents on Relations Between Canada and Newfoundland, Volume 2", explains the caller, bringing the existence of Paul Bridle's magnum opus, at least one volume of it, to the attention of the well-read, historically-minded radio host, apparently for the first time.

Poor Ryan last night was a laughing stock to anyone other than his usual followrers.

Over-excited by The Day like a five year old waiting for Santa and then on the other totally shagged up by his ignorance.

Russell obviously went so fatr up Ryan's nose that you could see Russell's feet hanging from Ryan's nostrils.

But poor Ryan couldn't dislodge the bugger for all the Kleenex in cambridge.

ALL he had to fall back on was repeating the same crap as always and making it clear he knows far less. he even repeated the "if you only saw how much Ottawa gets from the offshore) line.

Hey Ryan: show us the facts, man. You're full of it and you know you are.

His passionate defence of Gus was even more pathetic and consisted of just insistign that Gus is a genius. There's no evidence of the secret deals Gus rants about becuase all the information is kept secret. It's the same bullshit as always and Russell systematically exposed every single weakness in Ryan's argument.

It's like a magician who has all his tricks exposed.

And here's the thing on Gus: Ryan just needs to apply his suoper-powerful reporter brain to Gus' credibility. Start asking about high-grading and other forms of overfishing when Gus was at FPI. if he can elicit a mea culpa from Gus, then off we go.

odds are good, Ryan will get some hysterical crap on another topic or - the best one - the excusr that it was DFO's job to catch them at it and it's all DFOs fault for NOt catching them.

Sensible people tell Ryan to doubt Gus because Gus should be doubted.

Come to think of it, the show was a bit pathetic. You had a guy who clearly knew nothing, who had had every single one of his pet theories exposed as sheer nonsense and he didn't have a single thing to come back with but even more hsyterical blather.

I am starting to feel sorry for Ryan.
